Hang with strategy – Before throwing all of your clothes on a hanger and putting them wherever you can find room, try organizing by color or style to make finding items easier. You can even take it a step further by organizing by season or occasion.

Baskets and bins – Utilize decorative baskets and storage bins to keep your accessories and loose items organized.

Use empty walls – You can hang things like scarves and hats on empty walls in the closet.

Put a dresser in the closet – If space allows, try adding a small dresser to your closet for extra drawer space. It’ll also allow you to put jewelry, accessories or decorations on top of it.

Use a room – Living with a tiny closet or no closet at all? Try turning an extra bedroom into your dream closet.

Utilize the top shelf – You can purchase shelf dividers to keep stacked clothing from falling over and stack your piles even higher.

Purge old and unwanted items – One of the best ways to organize your closet is to purge unwanted items. Donate old clothes to a thrift store or local shelter to give back while you give yourself more space.

Use office organizers – You can purchase affordable magazine or folder files to organize clutches, wallets, or small accessories. Try putting jewelry or cufflinks in clear pen cups to avoid losing them between wears.

Hang accessories – Short on storage space? You can use hangers and hooks to hang accessories such as purses, ties, and belts.

Organize shoe space – You can save space by hanging your shoes on the back of the closet door or staggering them on a shelf to ensure maximum storage space.
